Fleet triumphed in the SPL Senior Cup Final in a close fought game of few chances. With a bumpy pitch and the windy conditions meaning neirther side was able to play its passing football leaving a scrappy game to be decided by a scrambled goal converted from one of the numerous free kicks Fleet were awarded throughout the game. It is believed that Luke Medcraft got the all important touch - well done boys

With the League season finished and the Cup Final a month away, Fleet travelled to Abbey for a friendly and were involved in a competitive game despite the bumpy pitch and windy conditions. Goals from Pete Barton (2), Luke Medcraft and Dan Bunter gave the Fleet team a comfortable win although with the chances created the Fleet boys could and should have won by more. However a good game in preparation for the Cup Final on May 13th.

Congratulations to the Fleet boys on securing runners up spot in the SPL Premier Division after a battling performance against Grayshott. In a bad tempered game exacerbated by some strange refereeing decisions for both sides, Fleet came from behind to secure a deserved point. Goals from Luke Medcraft (2), Jack Tookey and Theo Johns means the Fleet boys have just the SPL Senior Cup Final to look forward to on Sunday May 13th at Westfields.

An unusually poor display from the Fleet boys saw them deservedly lose out to a determined Staines side. Despite taking an early lead through Joe Byrne, Fleet failed to capitalise on a number of other good chances and poor defending allowed Staines to draw level. With Fleet's normal passing game not in evidence today, Staines ran out worthy winners with an assured 2nd half display.

An outstanding team performance as Fleet reached the Final of the Senior Cup. With 4 regular players missing and just the bare 11 available, it took Fleet most of the 1st half to get into the game but having dominated the 2nd half and equalised through Pete Barton, a Nick Medcraft winner in extra time gave the Fleet boys the deserved victory and a place in the Final of the Senior Cup again.

A comfortable victory against a battling Knaphill side who never gave up throughout the game. On a narrow muddy pitch Fleet at times found it difficult to play their normal passing game but goals from Joe Byrne, Pete Barton, Theo Johns and a Jack Tookey penalty saw the Fleet boys through to another victory.

A free scoring game where Fleet found themselves 4-2 down at half time having conceded a couple of poor goals and generally being 2nd best all over the pitch. The 2nd half saw a much improved Fleet performance where they doiminated the game scoring 5 further goals and conceding just 1. Goals today from Luke Medcraft (2), Theo Johns (2), Nic Medcraft, Joe Byrne and the returning Brad Millis. A good performance considering the team were missing top goal scorer Pete Barton and Alex Williamson today.

Fleet progressed without any real problems into the semi final of the SPL Cup with an assured display particularly in the 1st half where they dominated play throughout and led 4-1 at half time. An early 2nd half strike made the game safe and although further chances were created, the Fleet boys ran out very comfortable winners. Goals from Pete Barton (2), Luke Medcraft (2) and Dan Bunter.

Fleet dominated the game from start to finish with Harry Theaker in the Fleet goal a spectator for most of the game. Playing some of the best football seen so far this season, Fleet put on a master class in passing and movement and could and should have won by far more than a solitary Pete Barton strike. Good stuff today, boys - well done

An entertaining game between 2 well matched sides but it was Fleet who came out on top against the League leaders with an assured defensive display from make shift centre backs, Joe Byrne and Dan Hutchings and an attacking plan carried out superbly by Pete Barton and Luke Medcraft. Goals from Dan Bunter (3) and a Jack Tookey penalty had the game under control for Fleet until a late Badshot goal set up an entertaining last 5 minutes.

A dominant Fleet performance from start to finish with goals from Nic Medcraft (2) and Pete Barton against a high flying Abbey team. Under the watchful eye of Sam Waters, the Fleet boys played some entertaining football and probably could and should have won by a greater margin.

An entertaining game where the Fleet boys dominated the 1st half taking a well deserved lead through Pete Barton. Despite creating a number of other clear cut chances, Fleet were unable to extend the lead and allowed Staines to equalise right on half time. A more even 2nd half ensured with Staines taking a 3-1 lead but late goals from Jack Tookey (pen) and Nic Medcraft saw Fleet get a deserved draw.

Against an U18 side Fleet gave an excellent account of themselves in the last 16 of the County Cup. Unfortunately the overly physical approach of the Mytchett team went unpunished by an inept referee who gave no protection to the Fleet team throughout. Fleet more than matched their older opponents for long periods of the game and were only over run in the final 15 minutes when Mytchett scored 4 late goals. A good performance throughout against older opponents and a very flattering scoreline at the end - well done boys

Fleet completed dominated this game with some crisp passing and movement creating numerous chances throughout with at least 20+ goal attempts that were not converted. At least this week the Fleet boys were rewarded for their total domination with goals from Luke Medcraft (4), Pete Barton (2) and headers from Joe Byrne and Ryan Langley. Some excellent football played today - well done

With almost total domination of the 1st half with the wind and slope in their favour, Fleet managed to create and miss upwards of 15 good chances in a 1 sided 1st half. However the solitary Guildford attack following a defensive mistake led to the Guildford opener which was doubled soon after half time. Despite playing some attractive football and creating more chances against the wind and slope in the 2nd half, Fleet only had a Pete Barton goal as a reward for their efforts. Unfortunately we were beaten today by our collective inability to take the numerous chances created.

Fleet progressed in this SPL Senior Cup game but made hard work of victory having dominated the game for long periods. Some poor defending at times let Guildford back into the game in the 2nd half but the Fleet boys continued to play their football throughout and secured victory with a last minute Dan Bunter free kick. Other scorers were Jack Tookey with 2 penalties and the tireless Pete Barton.

The Fleet boys progressed into the last 16 of the County Cup with an assured display against an U18 team. Despite dominating the game for the first 20 minutes and scoring through Dan Bunter, the Fleet team switched off and somehow wet in at half time 2-1 down. The 2nd half saw Fleet camp in the opposition half with 3 unanswered goals from Pete Barton, Joe Byrne and Luke Medcraft. At times some breathtaking football played today.

An excellent team performance from the Fleet boys following a 2 week half term break. A pretty even game for the 1st 30 minutes but as the half went on, Fleet gradually gained the ascendancy as they gained control of the ball in the midfield area. The 2nd half saw Fleet dominate play and score 3 unanswered goals with some enterprising football, full of good passing and moving through Matt McDermott and Joe Byrne (2). Well done today.

Despite an improved performance from last week, Fleet still managed to collectively give away 3 goals in 8 1st half minutes. A 2nd half rally with goals from Jack Tookey (pen) and Pete Barton could have made the finish intersting until Fleet conceded a soft 4th goal 20 minutes from the end.

An embarassing 1st half performance saw Fleet concede 5 goals without reply. Inept defending, lack of effort throughout and not 2 passes put together by the Fleet players. 2nd half we competed, created chances, communicated with each other and gained back a degree of pride with a Michael Grove goal.

A somewhat lacklustre performance from the Fleet boys this morning who were not quite on their game but just did enough to come away with the victory. 2 spectacular free kicks from Dan Bunter and an Anmol Rai strike were enough to defeat a spirited Abbey side. Impressive all round performance from Matt McDermott.
