NEXT MATCH - Sunday 05th Feb 2012 - Away to Bookham Arrows (SPL Prem)
Terrible news about Harry Webster breaking his wrist after falling badly from the needless and reckless challenge made by the Meadow Sports player at the end of Sundays match. Get well soon Harry - keep off the XBox controller as that can't do your wrist any good !!
20th November 2011 :- We now have a Prem League match away at Meadow Sports (Woking) meet at 11.30am.
September 2011 : The Colts are placed in SPL Division 1 and start their campaign against AFC Westend a team they met last year in Division 2 of the SPL. A pre-season friendly match is abandoned within five minutes of the kick off as a monsoon hits the Peter Driver ground and lads were at risk of drowning as huge pools of water settled on the pitch. Playing football was impossible. The season starts on 10-Sept-11 at Peter Driver with a resounding 10-2 win against AFC Westend and a pretty good display from the lads in their first game together.
All change again. The Colts are invited to swap places with a Premier Division side who are finding the going tough. We do not have much time to make a decision so Nish and Graham accept the offer and the U14 Colts will now play for the Premier league title. It will make things even tougher and is a huge challenge. The AFC Westend game becomes a friendly (goals still recorded in the Goalscorers table) and we kick-off our season for the second time away at Walton Casuals on 18th Sept !
August 2011 : Having taken a break for well deserved holidays an intensive period of fitness and skills training has been undertaken with sessions on both Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings. Some have found the sessions tough going. The U14 Colts are starting to take shape.
July 2011 : After a successful tournament season which saw the team win the Rushmoor and Halliford Colts competitions and a series of trial sessions the final squad for the new season was selected. This was an exceedingly difficult and, in some cases, unpleasant task, as we said goodbye to some lads who had been with the Panthers for several seasons. With the squad chosen, the new manager in place registration with the SPL began.
