Manager Bio

Craig Morris

Craig Morris volunteered to take over the ‘Blue’ Squad halfway through their initiation at U6 level in the Nursery and is now embarking on a full third season with the same boys as the ‘Typhoons’ in the SPL coaching them bright and early each Saturday morning and playing matches each Sunday morning.

The Typhoons is Craig’s first experience as a Coach & Manager and he completed his FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate in July 2008. He played football in Coventry as a youth and remains a keen ‘Sky Blues’ fan. He then went on to play in the Air Force both in the UK and in Germany finishing playing at 5 aside level in Guildford until his body said stop. Now in his twilight years he still turns out for his Company against his French & American counterparts twice a year at a variety of worldwide locations.

Craig’s philosophies remain that the boys should enjoy football and learn about the beautiful game. Participation is for all abilities and so important at this early age. The emphasis is on enjoyment and taking part and not winning at all costs.

He believes his job is made easy with the full support of the boys Parents and their willingness to turn up each week where they help with setting up, refereeing, encouraging the boys positively and supporting from the sidelines.
