The Vulcans got the new year off to a good start with a fine away win. With no subs, it was going to take lots of effort and the boys started well although Alex had to reach high to keep out a snap shot from Molesey in the first few minutes. The Vulcans then took control, and Morgan's cross found Tom at the back post, whose deflected shot was swiftly followed up by Man of the Match Dan to open the scoring. Adam, Dan and Tom were combining well with some lovely passing moves in midlfield, and just a couple of minutes later Effort Award winner Morgan followed up another effort from Tom to make it 2-0. Soon after, Adam put Dan clear down the left wing and Dan's cross was turned into his own net by the Molesey keeper. Chances came and went for the rest of the half, with Ragavan and Harry giving good protection to Alex who was solid in goal. Despite being warned about complacency at half time, the second half showing was not quite of the same standard as the first half. The boys seemed to forget that it was good teamwork that had led to the goals in the first half, and several times someone tried to take on too many players rather than looking for the simple pass. Molesey started to create some chances and deserved their consolation goal. But the Vulcans then defended well to keep them out in the last few minutes and ensure the three points.

A good first half performance from the Vulcans to keep the game scoreless, but a mixture of bad luck and defensive errors led to four goials conceded in the second half. Man of the Match was Tom and Effort Award went to Morgan.

A much improved performance from the Vulcans but a second consecutive defeat to a strong Rushmoor team. The Vulcans dominated the start of the match, with George, Adam and Man of the Match Will controlling the midfield. Tom then forced the keeper to concede a corner after being put through by Alex. Effort Award winner Simon and Harry stopped most Rushmoor attacks, and Dan was confident and safe in goal. Rushmoor gradually got into the game and scored early in the second half from a corner which was only half cleared. As the match wore on the Vulcans kept pressing but the final pass at times let us down. Harry made a couple of good saves to keep the score down, including one that he watched roll along the top of the bar before gathering safely.

The Vulcans worst performance of the season resulted in a defeat that could have been even heavier if it were not for some great goalkeeping by Man of the Match Alex in the first half and Harry after half time. Rushmoor were better organised, stronger in the tackle, and quicker to any loose ball. Ragavan won the Effort Award for hard work in defence. Vulcans will have to work hard to get back to their early season form to start to pick up points again over the next few weeks.

The Vulcans started well and Alex created a couple of half chances, but apart from that a solid Hythe defence kept chances to a minimum. At the other end Tom made a couple of good of good clearances, and when Hythe created an opening Harry got back with a superb tackle. However as the first half went on the Vulcans concentration levels slipped and sloppy defending led to a couple of goals conceded. As the half ended Dan broke clear but could not find a way past the Hythe keeper. The second half was once again a better performance from the Vulcans, with Dan and Ragavan solid in defence and George and Effort Award winner Will starting to take control of midfield. As the Vulcans pushed forward, the Hythe keeper saved well from Morgan and Alex, and then produced a world class save to deny Man of the Match Dan's curling free kick. Disappointing to go out of the Plate, but the Vulcans can take comfort from giving a team from 2 divisions higher a close game.

Another slow start from the Vulcans saw them under pressure for most of the first half. Harry and man of the match Tom managed to repel most attacks, and Ragavan made a couple of good saves to keep Meadow out. Eventually Meadow got a cross in and took the lead. In the second half the Vulcans were a different team. Dan, George and Alex took control of the midfield, and soon Effort award winner Alex crossed for Will to volley home as he arrived with perfect timing at the far post. A few minutes later Adam's long clearance found Alex, who controlled the ball well and gave the keeper no chance. As the half wore on the Vulcans began to dominate and when the keeper spilt Alex's shot Morgan had followed up well to tap home. With Adam and Dan solid in defence, the Vulcans were never seriously troubled again and thoroughly deserved their win.

The Vulcans can be proud that their unbeaten run in the league lasted until after Bonfire Night, but it had to end eventually. To be fair, it was easy to see why Halliford are top of the league, their passing and speed of movement made it a tough challenge for the Vulcans. The Vulcans were too often second to the ball at the start, and Halliford scored a couple of early goals from a very debatable penalty and a goalmouth scramble. George made a great save to keep the score down to two at half time, but at the other end chances were few and far between, although as the half wore on Daniel, Alex and Tom managed to start to get on the ball more. The Vulcans were much more alert in the second half, and Man of the Match George scored with a free kick from almost on the half way line to bring them back into the game. Despite competing well, chances were few and far between, and Simon, Ragavan and Effort Award winner Adam had to be alert in defence several times. Harry also make a couple of godo saves to keep Vulcans in the game, but it wasn't quite enough in the end.

A really close fought local derby ended with the Vulcans just losing out. The Typhoons stared strongly and Vulcans were second to the ball too often in the first half, and although Dan made two fine saves Typhoons eventually scored from a corner. George almost got an equaliser in a goalmouth scramble but Typhoons managed to get the ball away. The Vulcans competed much better in the second half, and created several chances following good passing moves involving Will, Dan, Tom and Man of the Match Alex. However the Typhoons always kept a strong defence and ensured that the Vulcans never had a clear shot on goal. When Typhoons broke away Effort Award winner Simon and Ragavan made sure that Harry had little to do in the second half. A much improved second half performance that the Vulcans need to build on to keep their unbeaten league run going.

A very good win for the Vulcans in a tough encounter with GPR. The visitors started strongly but Harry and Ragavan defended well while Alex looked solid behind them in goal. The Vulcans gradually started to assert themselves, and after Morgan almost scored a good chance, Man of the Match Dan scored the opener with a left foot shot that had the power to get over the line despite the keeper getting a touch to it. Tom then finished off a fine move to double Vulcans lead before half time.
GPR again started the second half well, and only a stunning point blank save from Effort Award winner Harry kept them out. Vulcans created several chances to extend their lead but were kept out by some good defending. GPR made things difficult, often showing good skill to momentarily get past a Vulcans player, but every one of the team battled back well and made themselves difficult to beat. GPR did get a goal back with a few minutes left, but the Vulcans held on for a great win.

An even match finished all square in the Vulcans first game since their promotion. The Vulcans started strongly and almost took the lead when Tom put Alex through but the shot went just wide. Adam had to be alert in goal as Brooklands forced a few good chances, and just when it seemed they had made a clear opening Will apeared from nowhere with a fantastic block to stop a certain goal. The match flowed from end to end in the second half and both teams had chances to win the match. Harry dealt well with a couple of Brooklands half chances, and Man of the Match George produced a similar block to Will's in the first half to deny another clear opportunity. Vulcans pushed on as time started to run out, but Morgan's long range effort was the final chance of the match. Overall another solid team performance, with Alex taking the Effort Award.

The Vulcans started strongly and in the first minute Adam ran down the left wing and his cross was turned into his own net by an Abbey defender. Several more chances came and went as the Abbey defence struggled to cope with the speed and determiniation of Daniel, Alex, and Morgan. Eventually Abbey did break away and George was unlucky when a slight fumble was ruled to have crossed the line to give Abbey an equaliser. The second half was more even, although Simon and Ragavan managed to repel most attacks before Harry was needed in goal. As the match wore on chances came and went for the Vulcans, and they became so keen to get the winner that at times they got in each others way and chose the wrong option when a through pass might have put a teammate through. Adam was man of the match for several strong runs and working tirelessly down the left wing, while Morgan won the Effort Award for keeping going despite a couple of knocks.

A second win on the trot for the Vulcans away to a spirited Windelsham side. The Vulcans started slowly and only solid defensive work from Harry and Simon kept Windelsham at bay. We then started to get our passing working, and a superb tackle from Will on the edge of the Windlesham box led to Tom putting the Vulcans one up. The Vulcans gradually took control as the game went on, and in the second half Daniel's fantastic pass put Adam clear on goal. Adam's first shot was blocked, he reacted quickly to chip the ball over the keeper and when it came back off the bar Tom had followed up well and poked the ball home to net his fourth goal in the first two games of the season. Vulcans had several more chances to increase their lead, before Alex managed to keep his cool to make it 3-0. There was still time for Harry to make a fine save to keep another clean sheet, which together with his defensive performance in the first half earned him the sparkling new man of the match award. Tom picked up the effort award for his goals and keeping going despite suffering the effects of an injury picked up in training.

What a start!! After signs towards the end of last season that the team was improving, their first game as under 10s was a revelation. The Vulcans dominated the first half, but at times delayed playing the cross or pass and the opportunity was lost. Even so, Adam could have scored with a long range effort and Daniel was denied only by a superb save from the Send keeper. Ragavan and Adam held firm in defence, with Harry taking charge of any ball in his area.
Shortly after the second half started Will crashed a shot against the bar and it started to feel like it might not be our day. But then George released Will down the right wing and Will's early cross was stabbed home in true goal poacher style by Adam arriving just before the Send keeper. Morgan then also hammered a shot against the bar, but this time the Send defender trying to clear lost his bearings and was unlucky to concede an own goal. Morgan then followed this up with a shot which was deflected and crept over the line - the dubious goals panel has given this to Morgan! As the Send defence tired, Tom ran through on goal and calmly netted his first goal for the Vulcans. Having got that out of the way, Tom then followed up with a superb finish into the top corner, rounding off an all-round excellent performance from the entire team. While the awards could have gone to anyone, Man of the Match was Daniel for his tireless performance and quick thinking that set up several attacks, and Effort Award went to Will for many strong runs down the wing matched by fine tackling in defence.
