Andy Walter
Andy has been a manager and coach for over 3 seasons and has just taken on the Spartans for the 2009-10 season.
In the distant past when he was a lot younger Andy was an avid player of the game. He started off as a goalkeeper and played there throughout his youth. However, after a particularly heavy thrashing he decided he would be far better out on the pitch and calved a career in the local leagues in Maidstone, Kent as a Central Defender or left back/midfield. Opinions vary on his success, Andy saw himself as a sweeper in the "Franz Beckenbauer" mould others saw him in the Road mould!
Andy likes to see the game played with lots of thought, coupled with swift passing and movement. He is also keen to encourage the kids to try new things, to be comfortable on the ball and to play with either foot.
Above all though, he thinks it's about enjoyment and giving everyone the opportunity to play.
